Each year around Labor Day weekend, the Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival converges upon Moody Gardens in Galveston. This festival, named one of the top ten best beer festivals in the country by Thrillist, will feature craft breweries from all over the country, including several from the great state of Texas.
This coming weekend is the 6th annual event that has become one of the largest in the state of Texas. Events are happening throughout the weekend from Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6. For those of you (like myself) who are planning to attend, here is some info you should know if you plan on drinking local and supporting your home state’s craft breweries.
Some of the Texas breweries who are scheduled to pour are 8th Wonder, Adelbert’s, Alamo, Austin Eastciders, B-52, Brazos Valley, Buffalo Bayou, Cedar Creek, Fetching Lab, Franconia, Galactic Coast, Galveston Island Brewing, Goliad, Huff, Karbach, Lone Pint, New Braunfels Brewing, No Label, Pedernales, Rahr & Sons, Real Ale, Rogness, Saint Arnold, Shiner, Solid Rock, Southern Star, and Texas Beer Refinery. Plus, as with past years, I’m sure there will be some late additions to this lineup.
Throughout the weekend, there are plenty of activities that should appeal to you. Tickets are available for purchase online, so make sure to snap them up before they are sold out.
