Rarely do I have to travel for work, but my travels are taking me to Fort Worth this week. While that may not be beer news, it does put me in the same general vicinity as Untapped Festival, so I decided to book a hotel in Dallas for the weekend and purchase my tickets for the event.
On deck for Saturday is the big event. Several Texas breweries are going to be prominently displayed including Lakewood Brewing, who have their own area and stage. With most breweries bringing anywhere from three to six of their beers to the event, Lakewood is bringing nine, including their renowned Temptress Imperial Milk Stout.
Other Texas breweries like Community Beer Company, Deep Ellum, Independence, Karbach, Martin House, Oak Highlands, Peticolas, Real Ale, Revolver, Saint Arnold, and TUPPS will have large presences with roughly six beers a piece available. As you can see, the Dallas/Fort Worth area is well-represented as hosts for the event.
Finally, other breweries with a presence at the event will be (512), 3 Nations, 903 Brewers, Adelbert’s, Audacity, Bearded Eel, Bitter Sisters, Braindead, Buffalo Bayou, Cobra, Collective, FireWheel, Four Corners, Franconia, Hops & Grain, Jester King, Nine Band, No Label, Noble Rey, Oasis Texas, Panther Island, Pedernales, Rabbit Hole, Rahr & Sons, Resignation, Shannon, Shiner, Small Brewpub, Southern Star, and Texas Ale Project. With the number of Texas breweries growing by the day, it’s clear that Texas breweries now outnumber the rest of the country at events in the state.
The event is located at Fair Park in Dallas; the famous site of the Texas State Fair and many other events. It will occupy around 277 acres with three separate stages for the live music that will be played throughout the day.
There is still time to purchase tickets for the event. The VIP packages are sold out, but general admission and tasting package tickets are still available at the time of this article’s posting. You can purchase tickets and join us at the event by going here.
